Journey to THE FIRST HARVEST
Holy wow! We are growing our own greens!
I’ve wanted a Tower Garden for years and years and years. I’m not kidding I’ve been THINKING about this purchase for so long I’m kicking myself because it would have paid for itself five years ago if I would have just GONE FOR IT.
One month ago, we planted some seeds that sprouted a few days later.
A week after that, the seed pod thingys were plopped into the tower and holy WOW.
Cool things about Tower Garden:
it recycles 100% of nutrients and water using a closed-system technology
it uses 98% less water than regular gardening
produces clean fresh food right in your kitchen growing right before your eyes
you could even set up this tower in your basement - the grow lights do all of the work
it grows using zero dirt
Mine is set up in my tiny tiny kitchen and it’s worth it. It’s worth the space to eat greens and veggies and fruits that are grown right here, not flown here, making everything extra full of nutrients and produce that lasts longer. When you buy produce from the store, it’s likely traveled a bit to get there which means, that by the time it makes it to your kitchen, you’ve already lost a week or two of freshness.
We started with a variety of greens but up next I can’t wait to try: Brussel sports, strawberries, tomatoes and more herbs.
