Finding my Rhythm
Finding my #IronmanTraining rhythm again this week (after searching everywhere for it the last 3-4 weeks)
👀👀👀👀👀
But THIS week, things are falling more into place.
I found an indoor pool that I vibe with.
I have my tri bike and my #peloton in the same city I'm living in.
I'm finding space to train within a wild work schedule.
MKE is home.
AND I think I have figured out which days/week work best to swim with my hair schedule.
Call it what you want, but my HAIR is my biggest SWIM barrier.
I don't like to wash my hair a lot. (I usually wash 1-2x/week)
I'm blonde so I have to rinse (ideally wash) after I swim in order to avoid green hair.
I don't blow-dry.
Chorine is drying.
Having wet-hair makes it tricky and weird to return to work.
ANYWAYS
Also, my skin...
Chlorine (as I already mentioned) in general is SUPER drying to me so my skin gets all out of wack too when I'm swimming a lot.
<insert excuse after excuse after excuse here>
BUT
My swim bag is packed with conditioner and lotion.
And face oil and eye cream and moisturizer.
My work-life supports my training and
my training makes me a better, healthier, employee.
My priorities are in line for June 2022 IM WI.
I'm feelin' good. Like I should.
Thanks, @ajsemancik for the plan, the tips, and the inspo.
Here. We. Go.
