Week 8: Blue Moon Yoga

This week was HOT. I loved every second of Blue Moon Yoga. You’ve never felt yourself sweat until you’ve tried hot yoga. It’s so empowering and cleansing!

I was a little under-the-weather for parts of this week and I felt like yoga lifted me up multiple times when I needed it. I was under a significant amount of stress with my qualifying exam for my doctorate program (SPOILER ALERT: I PASSED!) and it could not have been a more perfect week to spend some hours at Blue Moon Yoga.

I can’t say enough good things about Christine, aka @hashtag.pretty on Instagram. She radiates confidence and badass-lady-pal and she has that kind of energy you just want to be around. She helped me acclimate as a beginner in the most loving way. THANK YOU LADY!

A few lessons learned:

  • bring towels (both for your mat and for your face)

  • save your spot ahead of time and get there at least 15 minutes early to get a spot in the room

  • tell the instructors that it is your first time - they will help you!!

  • hydrate, hydrate, hydrate

  • believe in yourself :)

  • breathe
