Week 51: Fitness apps

This week, I thought it would be fun to talk about all of the different kinds of fitness apps available to you to take your fitness to a new, digital level.

I asked the fierce women of Sweaty Tears of Joy what their favorite fitness apps were and we put together quite the list!

I tried some of them out for Week 51 and shared some of my thoughts below as well.

TOP APP mentioned by the 500+ women of Sweaty Tears of Joy:

  1. “Sweat by Kayla Itsines...just press start and she tells you what to do and how long to do it for. I’m obsessed” Thanks for sharing, Leah!

  2. Beachbody on demand

  3. “This app is only available in the Des Moines metro but if anyone else lives in this area it's called The Drop. It's less than $5 a month and you have access to so many gyms where you can literally just drop in for a class. I love it! And each class comes with a 25% discount. They also partner with other wellness and nutrition business when you can receive other discounts” Thanks for sharing, Emma!

  4. “Wodtimer, wodgenerator, bruteforce, Strava, Nike run app, Wodify, and fitbit” Cassie was full of suggestions - thank you, friend!

  5. “I use ROMWOD ... I call it my potato yoga lol but it is has (new) daily stretching routines that are 20ish minutes a day (1 hour on Thursday’s) and the app focuses on range of motion. $14 a month” Molly for the win! The gym I go to (Uncaged) also uses ROMWOD and I’m thinking of getting it for myself at home — but would I ever do it!? **face palm**

  6. Personally, I love Interval Timer and Strava. Those are my go-to apps. Strava syncs with my watch data and holds me accountable for #ironmantraining.
